Stacy Julian ROCKS!
I had an amazing weekend at the Urban Scrapbook convention. I was Stacy's teaching assistant all weekend and was lucky enough to drive Stacy and Kayce to and from the airport as well. Stacy is amazing - she is totally happy and is the kind of person that you want to be around!
I wanted to share a few things that really stuck in my mind from some of Stacy's talks...- If you have been scrapbooking for more than 5 years, every 5 pages or so needs to have journaling that goes below the surface. I, for one, tend to be a little more private, and I rarely go beyond the surface. This really challenged me!
- I helped in her Finish Line Scrapbooking class all weekend, and I had an epiphany - I scrapbook for me, first and foremost, but I need to complete some little albums for all of my kids, that are for THEM! Ones that they can keep by their beds or take in their backpacks. Ones that I don't spend hours on, so that if they spill juice on them - oh, well! I also want these to be a tangible thing that we will look at and know that they are loved - completely! The finish line scrapbooking philosophy is perfect for this.
I am sure that there is more, and I will share it when it comes to me!
